Our trip to Tucson was a nice diversion for us all. Keith kept busy with band rehearsals while Derek and I visited with his grandparents, aunts, uncle and cousins. The big show was Thursday night, the opening night dance for this year's Up With People Alumni Reunion, and Keith enjoyed every minute of the 2-hour gig with the very talented ARIZONA & Friends dance band. Being around "Uppies" (and family, of course)is always good for lifting spirits and this time was no exception. After stocking up on hugs, we returned home on Saturday, driving through blistering heat up to 115 degrees along the way. The cool Delta breezes greeted our arrival, much to our relief!
