Family Time

Jamie and Chris arrived last night from Minnesota and so our family is all together now. The past couple of days, sleep has been consuming more and more of D's time. We are staying close and watching for moments of awareness. Last night was a restless one for him, but today he is sleeping well. Early this morning, he awakened long enough to wave to his sister and give Chris a buddy handshake. And he has been generous with one-armed hugs.

It's game day, the long-anticipated 49er/Vikings match-up. After Keith decorated the TV room in red and gold, Chris and Jamie came in decked out in purple, and even daring to bear purple gifts! Keith said he would gladly wear a Vikings shirt and horns every time they play the Rams. It was an exciting game, the highlight for us when Jamie told semi-sleeping D that the Niners made a good play, and he surprised us by raising his fist in the air.

Settling in for naps, a quiet family day is the plan for today, as we cherish these moments together.

It was certainly a "purple" 4th quarter - but we like to keep Jamie and Chris happy. We're ready for naps, too. So glad all of you are together. :)

So glad you are all getting to spend this time together as a family. May you feel the love and prayers of your wide-reaching support system. And please know we are right across the street should you need anything.
