We're Not In Kansas Anymore...

No, we're not - but we WERE there a couple of weeks ago.  Keith, his mom, and I traveled to Kansas for the wedding of his late brother's older son, Jonathan.  Jamie, Chris and Kendall met us there for the happy occasion, making it a Petersen Family reunion, too!  It was a quick weekend trip, so we maximized the family time as much as possible.  We noticed the prevalence of Tornado Shelter signs; however, the Kansas welcome mat was rolled out with picture-perfect weather- sunny with hardly a cloud in sight, much less a tornado.  Such gracious hospitality!

Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend:

Congratulations, Jacqueline and Jonathan!

Grandma and Grandpa time was the best!

Cousins:  Christopher, Chris, Jamie, Jonathan and Jacqueline

A proud Grandma!

Kendall enjoyed the park across from the hotel.

On the way to the airport - 2 days went 2 fast!
For us, this was a reverse of the Wizard of Oz scenario where Kansas was black-and-white and Oz was in color.  In our version, Kansas was where the color appeared in our world, for a weekend in September!
