Ready to Roll

Derek spent a lot of time in his GMC truck and it served him well, starting with the one-hour commute to college, moving in and out of a rental house, commuting to his jobs in Stockton, Tracy, Sacramento, and Elk Grove, weekly sound crew duties at church, various vacation travels, and road trips to Tucson and beyond. It occupied a space in our driveway, off and on, for the past ten years.

On Saturday, Jamie's and Derek's good friends Stephen and Stephanie flew up from SoCal and became its new owners. Keith and I, along with mutual friends Karen and Derek's fiancee, Michelle, enjoyed breakfast and a nice visit with them before they headed for home with their new Deez-wheels. The neighborhood seems a little emptier without the familiar fixture, but we are happy to have it go to friends who will keep it rolling as long as it is useful. We hope it provides many more miles and smiles for their family!
