We thought that by now we'd have an appointment set to start chemo, but still no date. Transferring to the local Oncologist may involve another week or so to get things in place. For now, Derek is scheduled to consult with the doctor here on Monday morning to go over the plan, and we'll go from there. So... maybe THEN we'll get chemo treatments on the calendar, and be able to make decisions about our still-pending travel plans.
Keith drove to Long Beach today for a 4-day business conference, just missing Jamie and Chris, who left their Southern California beach vacation this morning to head back home. We hear that Jamie is taking some California sun back home with her. A sunburn- oops. Derek is still feeling fine and is looking forward to playing some softball with his team on Friday. With the temps here hovering around 100 degrees, we're just taking it easy and keeping cool - inside.
